The Top 10 Bikepacking Food Choices to Fuel Your Next Trip

By Nate Cole and Bennett Cole   |   7/1/2023

Bikepacking requires meals that are easy to pack, transport, and cook. It can be difficult to choose from the multitude of options out there these days. Never fear, that's why Bennett Cole has done all the research for you. His unparalleled pickiness drove me to compile a list of the top ten food choices for bikepacking that will satisfy your hunger and provide the necessary nutrition needed on the trail. Oh, and rest assured everything on this list tastes amazing and is Bennett-approved...

Peak Refuel Freeze-Dried meals

Peak Refuel Freeze-Dried meals are some of the best out there. Bennett thinks their macaroni and cheese is the best, but didn't turn away a small serving of their Chicken Coconut Curry.

Three different types of freeze dried meals

These three top-rated freeze dried meals definitely were packed with flavor. The best of them according to Bennett was Packit Gourmet's Big'un Burrito w/ Fajita Chicken. His only complaint was that it was missing tortillas.

Pinnacle Foods brand freeze-dried meals

I would be lying if I told you Bennett enjoyed all the meals on this list - although he did try this one. This relative new-comer to the freeze-dried meal gambit is gourmet camping food and is easily the best meal we tried. They have several different options and all are amazing.
